This shirt was worn by Alan McLoughlin in a match sometime between 1996 and 1998. It is a green, home, short-sleeved shirt and has been signed on the front by McLoughlin. The shirt was donated by McLoughlin to a charity in the UK who auctioned it. I was fortunate enough to win the auction. There is a letter of authenticity from Alan McLoughlin himself confirming that it is one of his senior Republic of Ireland match worn shirts. Regrettably, the precise match details are not known. The shirt differs from replica shirts because there is no sponsor's logo on the front: all Ireland replica shirts from 1992 onwards had a sponsor logo written on the front; shirts without a sponsor logo could not be bought in shops from this period onwards.
