This shirt was issued to Matt Holland for the friendly match away to Greece on 20th November 2002. It has been signed on the front by Holland. This match is significant because it was the first match that Ireland played after Mick McCarthy's departure. The match details have been embroidered into the fabric of the shirt on the front. The shirt differs from replica shirts because there is no sponsor's logo on the front: all Ireland replica shirts from 1992 onwards had a sponsor logo written on the front; shirts without a sponsor logo could not be bought in shops from this period onwards.
